As guidance counselors, it is our responsibility to help your teen get an education that will best prepare him/her for the future. Part of that responsibility includes providing you and your teen with career/college planning information so that together you can make the best possible course selections during the years of high school.
We are also here to help students who are facing particular difficulties. Situations, such as illness, death, or family changes, may affect a student’s performance at school. We can work with students to develop coping skills to help maintain their academic progress in times of difficulty. We do not, however, provide individual or family therapy.
Our Guidance Department plans to offer several information sessions throughout the school year. We hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities for the upcoming events. You will receive a postcard invitation for each event. When parents and school personnel work together, we have a winning combination for our teens.
All students deserve to reach their potential and together we can make this happen.
If we can be of any assistance to you, please call us at 512-756-6193.
